yep paddle...that's what I did...waited for the last kid to graduate. There are 3 people on my street alone that did the same thing. We are all happy campers. I don't even like to go to Steamboat anymore for shopping, dinner, concerts...nothing. The traffic, the people...and the ridiculous prices. It used to be worth the extra price because it was such a nice community. Now it is definitely not worth the price or the hassle.
stomp - I bet your cup will be overflowing in your new town. It is no wonder you are feeling negative - Steamboat is filled with negative energy these days. It's the same old crap. People come to Steamboat, love the pristine quality and small town ambience...and because they hate the hustle bustle of where they live, move to Steamboat. Then they start changing it to exactly what they hated so much and just left. Makes no sense.
And how!!! Now that I am not paying thousands per month for a zipcode, I can actually afford to drive a new car and go on vacation. Not to mention, the people are much nicer. I guess they are not so stressed out paying thousands per month for a zipcode. And for the people who bought into Steamboat early and do not pay thousands per month...they still have to put up with the people who do. None of it is worth it to me...I have never been happier with a move.
I made that decision 4 years ago and happy I did...and Steamboat has gotten nothing but worse since. You couldn't pay me to live there now. Good luck in your new town.

Darn it - I keep telling my dog if she would quit smoking it would be easier to find a place.
Congratulations to a stellar young man. This was a well deserved appointment and I am certain Simon will do an excellent job representing our country.
The dog was doing his job. Sorry for the death of a pet, however the pet should have at least been under voice control.
what a mess...I am so happy to have escaped.
Yes, it is loud...and how about that diesel tasting beer? Personally, I would prefer the smell of a cigarette. But I guess we all know diesel fumes are much better for you than cigarette smoke. You could always sit outside by the dumpsters at Johnny's.
Bob's is the original, there is also Frisch's and I believe Shoney's is a franchise of Frisch's, but they no longer display the Big Boy name or image. The original Bob's had some sort of Thousand Island dressing, while Frisch's developed their famous tartar sauce. I have never had a Bob's Big Boy, but have had at least a million Frisch's Big Boys. You can buy the tartar sauce and make them yourself when desperate, but not quite the same at home.
As for the "grip", Morty, I believe they are looking at the other hand. There are many many different poses of the Big Boy, but the original is with one hand holding a plate in the air with the other hand "fisted". I believe it is to depict him running with a Big Boy. Bob's came up with the name Big Boy, which was actually named for a chubby little boy (customer) and the Big Boy image is based on a caricature of this chubby little boy.
Bob's seem to be scattered around the US, while Frisch's are in the midwest, with the first one being in Cincinnati.
I will pay closer attention to how they travel and get back to you. I agree they are not cutworms. Like I said, hopefully they will freeze to death tonight.
