In making assumptions about the general population's intelligence about civics is lacking so severely that we are unfit for voting,is in itself an ignorant idea.All student's are taught civics and have been for a long long time.Our men and women have fought ,been wounded and died,for the right of every citizen in this country and voting is one of those rights.
In Routt county we've got to make prudent decisions about what option is best for our water ,air and citizens.If eveything is so safe about your fracking process,WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?We cannot control what the rest of Colorado does,but this is OUR home and not yours to do what you please with.The EPA will make it "even worse" for you in a year with even stricter rules.
Yeah the "Our View Gang",they are the ultimate arm chair quarter backs who can't write an opinion all by themselves and put a name on it.They put down the sheriff Birch's decision about the Balloon Rodeo ,well that decision was a good one.Colorado has been burning all summer and the sheriff department manage's in a pro active way, the Our Gang makes an issue about a decision that was made for fire safety in our county.Have a little respect for the sheriff department,they are elected you know.They are concerned with the welfare of citizens,the paper want's to sell paper's and seem to be cool,but the paper is a bully.An ignorant bully at that.Oh !bring back the anonymous writers pilot,they sure do a better job than the Our Gang and Rob Douglas.
I'm so proud of the commissioners,you have helped to establish a trust in our county leaders ,you represent the people who live in our beautiful Routt County .To be listened to by a commissioner is so vital.Thanks to the many citizens , tourist's,and people in the whole country who signed the petition and spoke up for a clean planet.Thanks to you the water will be clean in Routt County,that is a huge thing to remember you by.I can't thank you enough.
Is gambler's anonymous in the plan?Most people barely make enough money to survive.What about the extra burden on law enforcement?Social impacts?I don't think the general public ever get's ahead at a casino,more like they loose their rent money and have to use more social services.Will the tourist's be drawn away from existing attraction's?I know it is fun to gamble, until you go home broke.
