When the preponderance of money for non-profit organizations goes to salaries,one must question why. A detailed financial statement must be a mandatory requirement if money is to be given by any public organization to ascertain if money is being spent on salaries instead of on needy projects. I am not saying this is the case with our green orgs but we must know financial info.
Maxine Ohman worked more than a few decades for the County's Treasurer's office. She worked for 52 consecutive years which may be a record that will never be matched. Maxine was one class lady and is greatly misssed.
No increases should have been provided and all expenses should be leveled or reduced until the economy is fully recovered. The unemployed taxpayers are being scammed. Underemployed and employed are being scammed. It is time (past-time) to run our school as a business. Eliminate excessive expenses, employees, eliminate tenure, create teacher competition, and pay retirement on actual earnings of PERA instead of an inflated guess of future earnings.
