That is a sad thing to hear. "...they love going from the church to the liquor store." That sounds like a dead church to me. A church with dust covered Bibles. A social club of who's who. They resemble the world more than Jesus. If the church lifts up the world then that is who they will draw to them, but if a church lifts up Jesus then those who are alcoholics or addicts or whatever will be set free when they are drawn to Jesus. Nothing good ever came out of a liquor store. It is a curse on the owners and the customers. You don't have to look far to see it.
No matter how hard you thump your Bible if the "facts" were never in there to begin with they will never fall out.
That is poorly worded. "one of the ways of keeping the Sabbath involves a blessing over alcohol". The Bible distinguishes between fermented wine and new or freshly squeezed grapes. Calling both wine, but when looking at a concordance you find that the wine that is fermented is condemned and the wine that is fresh squeezed grapes is not.
The Bible is good because it tells us to turn from our wickedness and evil and corruption. To turn back to our Father who made us. To find salvation through His Son Jesus who heals all sickness and disease. The Bible is the narrow way back to our place with God.

WE LOVE CARGO AND THE MILLION WE GAVE HER PROVES IT
What do they serve at the Mayor of OC's bar? Cargo was found to be drunk and over the limit for driving, yet one of her friends arrested with her had drug paraphanelia. How do you order that from the Mayor's Bar? Or do you order it from this side of the Bar? How do you own a Bar and represent law, order and community at the town hall? Can you mix good and evil? Yin and Yang? No, you will love one and hate the other. The town hall sits BEHIND the bar for a good reason. Do not kid yourself and think you can run a bar and run a town. The way you run one place is the way you run the other place. Either the bar will uphold the law, or the town hall will uphold the Bar. It will be decided by what is in the person's heart.
