I know that anything analyzed at ACZ... is probably bogus.
I know of two ex-employees that moved on years ago both known to each other. That both categorically stated to me personally (at different times) that ACZ will fudge the numbers to make the situation work.
As far as dumping the soil in Milner... @#%&ing Great!
"They start remediating soils tomorrow behind Shell station at 3rd."
I guess you don't know much... Nothing was started today. There are no plans according to Blimpies for any re-mediating of soils on their lot. I saw no digging in "Cookville" behind where the batch plant has been.
Heads up home owners...
I upgraded my fire insurance a month ago... It takes 30 days to go into effect. My policy went into effect 5 day's ago.
I'm sleeping much better now!
Good luck on that idea... People are scrambling just to figure out how they are going to buy their ski passes, food, gas, pay their rent or mortgage. Not to mention property and income taxes, insurance, so on and so on...
By the By...
The hazmat cost alone to remove all the tanks and contaminated soil will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. Nothing will grow there until you do.
The scuttlebutt is the underground tanks have been leaking for years. Just like the ones under Peak fitness, and the now defunct Shell station... across from the downtown Post Office.
A million dollar piece of prime real estate... it will never happen.
And a parking lot for 25 cars.... not!
I understand eveyone's frustrations, but come on kids!!!!
I'm posting this from another blog (today under the dreaded TC debate) because this will be my last.
ABOUT Triple Crown...
It's just economics 101. If a business is relying on one factor (TC) for 1/3 of their yearly income, and feel that if they loose TC they will go out of business: Then they will fail eventually.
But I gotta say this before I go into the goodnight. On July 4th post fireworks, no business were open except the bars. NOT ONE!!! Here you have a captive audience of 20,000 to 25,000 people, with no businesses open. They want to spend money, buy T shirts, CDs, Books, Candy, and Souvenirs. Even possibly have a cup of coffee, or ice cream, or just browse. Your businesses lost a lot of money that night! STOP COMPLAINING!!!
If you demand family time... fine: but STOP COMPLAINING!!!
In a resort town: there are no days off. That's the price you pay for living in a resort town!
This will be my last blog since Boyer is going to change the rules. Too bad: Just think of all the junk mail all of you that re-register are going to get.
PS. I found out today that revenues from the ad dept are way down, and they are now discounting to long time coustomers. What does that tell you...
They are gonna sell your imformation!!!

You write it... I'll sign it!
"Fuel costs may make it so TCers can't afford the $8 sandwich anymore, nor a rio marg. Then the locals will get what they want, a ghost town with no economy, and be able to drive to starbucks whenever they please, and have the road all to themselves."
THAT SOUNDS FRICKIN GREAT TO ME!!!!
