The new schedule eliminates a previous early morning flight. Now the earliest you can get into Denver is 10am meaning you will miss a majority of the early flights out of Denver and you will consume a full day of travel to most destinations requiring a connection. Also, the 737 from Denver has been eliminated. This was a very reliable flight and the impact will be significant.
If guns kill people, then pencils misspell words, cars drive drunk, and spoons made Oprah fat! Remember: Hold the person accountable for their actions, not the means they chose!
Well said stirrinuptrouble. Someone needs to be held accountable!
While it is always traumatic and difficult for anyone who gets laid off, the City did not go far enough. Seven employees represents 2.5% of the workforce. If the City was serious about managing its talent they would annually remove the bottom 10-15% of the workforce and create a culture of accountability. We should not accept nor can we afford an environment where government positions are held sacred.
Recently the city spent $500k to upgrade systems to increase functionality and efficiency. The result of this upgrade based on the Pilot resulted in a headcount increase. Expenditures like these need to be based upon measurable ROI and not feed the administrative bureaucracy.
Unfortunate rates are rising without merging the water districts and eliminating the unnecessary multiple bureaucracies and associated costs of two water district administrations. The argument of being underfunded looses credibility if they continue to propagate excess spending on administration.

City sales tax rate is 4.5% and lodging tax is 2%. Assuming 30% of a tourists costs are for lodging, the guests directly related to Triple Crown would have to spend $2,170,543 to break even on a marketing spend of $140,000. Of course this doesn't take into consideration additional city operating expenditures for police, park resources, etc.
Redoing the infrastructure and state highway through town costs 5.6 million. Creating a heated sidewalk that is shorter than the highway costs. 4.5 million and it won't even be complete. What am I missing? This doesn't pass the sniff test.
The net of this reform is higher taxes and insurance premiums. Unfortunately the package does nothing to address the underlying problem of annual double digit increases in health care costs.
I agree with Weiss
“On the one hand they’re saying you’re not being tough enough on the developer, on the other hand everything costs too much so it won’t work,” Weiss said
This development doesn't work! It doesn't create affordable housing and the risks to the taxpayers are too great.
