What a great story! There's not a lot people like Ben in town who is so focused on the arts, his employees, his family and does such a wonderful balancing act. His philanthropic heart is known all over Steamboat.
Good point. I think the reason why Gary Wall upsets so many people is that he simply refuses to accept responsibility. Hey, everyone makes a mistake. But real men own up to them instead of denying and coming up with lame conspiracy theories. And he's supposed to be setting an example for our youth.
I can't wait for Wall to run for reelection. It will be a landslide (in the opposite direction). Maybe he has slowed down the drinking and started smoking the wacky stuff. Does he really think the ordinary Routt County citizen thinks he's anything but a wacko? Give me a break.
I sure hope justice prevails and this so-called leader of law enforcement gets his day in jail where he belongs. Great example, Gary. Deny, deny, deny.
One of the best coaches the State has ever seen. His commitment went far beyond x's and o's. He really cared about the kids and he will be sorely missed. Our son played for him, and though he never started, he made a wonderful impact on him.
Hey ld04 -- if it's a set-up, take the roadside test. That's the point. This would be a non-issue if he had simply taken the test. Set-up, conspiracy theories? Get real. He brought this upon himself because he thinks he can make up some civil liberties b.s. story and have people believe him. Don't be so naive!
You know, if Gary would have ever admitted he made a mistake, taken the roadside sobriety test, and passed, none of this would have ever happened. The excuses are pathetic. Hire a lawyer and spin the story. If the glove doesn't fit, you must acquit. Good thing old Johnny Cochran has gone on to the other side. Gary, you are making a mockery of Steamboat, and you remind me of some kid you doesn't and simply refuses to take responsibility. What an exemplary role model! Thanks goodness others can see through the b.s., and I must admit that Julian, as a completely impartial third-party, can see the spin that's taking place. It's just a sad, pathetic day for the leader of our county law enforcement.

Hot Springs rates on rise
I think the new rates absolutely suck. That sort of increase is simply uncalled for.
