AMEN! I think the purchase of property to build the "bike park" is a great solution. Pressure the ski corp and Howelsen Hill area for completion of the trails. Of course the weather of a wet spring had a lot of influence. Use the EXISTING pump tracks aka skill parks!

Sounds like Vanderbeek needs a plaque of notoriety at the cost of open space. Check out the open space that the 700 Club has to offer via Alpine bank.

Look at the big picture of the park. It's not about the road construction. Its about high volume use and impact to this neighborhood. This park is used by Lacrosse, soccer, rugby, hang gliders, playground use, dog walkers and just enjoying open space. Parking and traffic is another issue.

Our forests right now are having a rough time combating the pine beetle. I don't understand why renigade mountain bike trails are being built in OUR forests and on PRIVATE property. Do the renigade trail builders even consider the damage to the enviroment they are creating? I think NOT. Why not put your tail building to good use and help midigate the already dead trees instead of creating more distruction.
