One man's trash is another man's excuse for tyranny. Clearly this is an abuse of power that ironically produces public support and sympathy for the very the men the prosecutor seeks to punish because of their lifestyle.
As for the Sweet Pea and the all-too-telling silence of its owners: What's the bigger crime to society...letting good food go to waste while others go hungry, or taking food from gargage cans others have thrown away?
