Drone killings have nothing to do with this and is off topic. You can't buy those drones at WalMart or Elk River Guns, can you?

Guns were created to kill, not sustain life. For what you are saying, it must be used to kill 1st, in order to sustain. This is not a chicken or the egg analogy. Cro-Magnons and Neanderthals never used firearms or 30 round bows and they still hunted. Not one single other object you mentioned was created specifically with killing in mind. That's the difference. I don't expect you to understand.

How many of those Olympic sports use 30round mags? As I've said- I'm all for the 2nd Amendment. I also for restrictions of it.

Not the point. A gun only knows how to kill- it doesn't know innocent from guilty, just where it's pointed. Same with a car...except the car was not intended to ever be used as a weapon when it was created. A gun was specifically created to harm. You can sugar coat it all you like. If it helps, maybe some of the people killed by cars were evil.

Not sure. How many would have been saved at Columbine, Sandy Hook, et. al.? The problem is that not one person on this thread (who have been advocating gun control) have made any comments to control pressure cookers. Not a single one. Copeland thought he'd use this (along with you and Kotowski hopping on the bandwagon) as a great way to joke around at the expense of the bombing. Have fun with it since it's a big joke to you all.

"You've imposed your own template to impugn those with whom you disagree."

2 way street.

A gun is made to kill...period. It doesn't matter the specifics...it's only purpose is to kill. It has no other value. If you want to call that "perverting a good thing," more power to you.

A car is made for transportation...period. And again- the car requires a license to drive. It has a caveat to using it legally.

As Brian said, "People who don't get it often don't get that they don't get it."

By being facetious in equating this to gun control, you are making fun of the situation.

Guns are made specifically to kill. There is no other manufacturer-intended use for them. Cars are intended as transportation and require a license to operate legally.
