Crew revives spirit of Steamboat's Inferno this weekend

Faces! That's right. I wasn't of age until '87 and that was in Basic Training so I never got into Faces when I was **ahem** under the age...'cuz that'd be wrong.

Pam used to live here, married to my roommate from long ago. Same last name from before that marriage. Just had to ask.

Casino is being explored near Hayden airport

For us, gambling is fun but we go to Las Vegas. We don't gamble much so seeing the hotels & shows in LV makes it worth the trip for a few days. We don't even go to Blackhawk to gamble. It's the atmosphere of LV that makes it fun, whether you gamble or not. Granted, it's not everyone's type of city, but it's great for people watching. Get some of my onstage characterizations from people watching in LV. LOL!

James (Pam's son??)- For some reason, I'm thinking it was The Cellar. If not, I believe it was something pertaining to the "underground" location.

Leslie Lovejoy: An end to the sleaze

Thanks, Brent! All is definitely well. Just waiting for vacation to cruise to Hawaii with my wife. Otherwise, for now, I will most likely not post a whole lot just like the last year. Better things to do with my time, especially with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim out. Lost in XBox 360 Land when not working! LOL!

Leslie Lovejoy: An end to the sleaze

When the Pilot changed the forum a couple of years ago so that you had to register & be confirmed to the Pilot only, the same things were said before- "everyone is going to leave."

Well, as you can see to this day, it's thrived & for all the old posters who left, plenty of new names showed up. In fact, a good portion of the new ones even came in without anonymity already. There will be a lull and then more people will post just like before.

Brent Boyer: Eliminating online anonymity

Oh, and Victory's article does seem to be up and postable now. Just noticed it a minute ago.

Brent Boyer: Eliminating online anonymity

Great job! But, my lack of anonymity never held my words back. In fact, on the other thread concerning anonymity, people were just as vitriolic as I ever was. So, I don't believe that will help in that endeavor, but it will bring them to task if posting like an idiot. It might hold them accountable, though. Hell, you want to see vitriolic, just check out the comments made on articles for FoxNews.com. Some actually call themselves Christian in the same sentence as saying un-Christian-like things about another poster.

(And no- I was never banned, for those thinking it. I just stopped posting. I got tired of seeing the same posts over and over again. Pick someone who posts incessantly- check their posts from 1 year ago. Tell me the subjects of discussion are any different. They aren't.)

What I am stunned over is that Kelly Victory's article doesn't allow her to be held accountable for the things she has said during the MMJ Dispenaries vote in November. The only posts that should even be considered for being locked like that should involve someone's death. I remember a non-relative holding up a 17yr old's death in martyrdom when the real parents had barely begun to grieve. I don't believe anyone who is on the record as wanting to "save" us all from MMJ shouldn't get a pie in the eye from all of those "unsaved" people for being drunk with a weapon pointed at a friend who was trying to keep her from driving drunk.

Now I'm done.

Steamboat-themed lampoon comedy marks Pirate Theatre’s 10th anniversary

It was a great show tonight and the audience rocked!!! One of the best opening night performances we could have ever had. The audience was packed and even helped us out on the end number! Way to go, Steamboat!

Rick Akin: Why the stimulus did not work

YVB- Considering that pastor sent kids to school with t-shirts denouncing Islam (Islam is of the Devil...on t-shirts...on children), what made you think he wouldn't follow thru on burning the Koran? And why should be believe you denounce it when in the same paragraph you write:

"Scott, as far as me taking this "pathetic pastor" seriously, well, Hillary took him seriously, Obama took him seriously, General David Petraeus took him seriously, I must be on to something...but not you! No not you , because you hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil, RIGHT! Yeah, right!?! Evil is a force in the world. Face it!"

Last sentence tells me you might have been right there with him, marshmallows in hand, passing out copies of Obama's Kenyan Birth Certificate. (Hint- making them in crayon gives it away as not being real BC's.)

City Council approves noon whistle for downtown Steamboat

Interesting whistle. Definitely not the one I remember back when I was in school, though. I know it's supposed to be a steamboat whistle, but it sounds a little like a fog horn.
