Hayden man cleared after 2009 drug raid

At the time of the warrant it had not been established weather Mr.nelson had a license or not. The officers saw plants and got a warrant, disregarding Wiggins suggestion to find out if he has a license before they proceed with the raid. So at the time, for all they knew he could have been well within the allowed limits and within colorado law.

And who was this conserned neighbor, he doesnt have any neighbors and the ones that live close by know him and how any cars he has, not to mention the mysterious two dogs that were placed in his yard by someone maybe the conserned neighbor, only to be taken out of his yard by the sheriffs and charge him for dog at large, while his only single dog was with a dog sitter, arranaged by Mr.Nelson while he was out of town. Days later proven to sherrifs office they took someone elses dog. Who knows whos, the two dogs taken to the pound where never heard from again...???

There are many of these sorts of things (mysterious events) all threw the case. None of which Mr.Nelson Did, all performed by our highly trained officers.

Also... Why didnt he fight back...That takes money. They ruined his business, made him pay thousands in lawyer fees, financially broke him, mentally strained him to the limit.
In this judicial system you must prove yourself innocent and that is lots of money,it's even harder when people treat you like a druggy like the paper made you out to be . All for three small plants, growing in dirt.
Am I supprising anyone yet? Didnt think so....

Hayden man cleared after 2009 drug raid

When Mr. Nelson's house was raided three times last year it was all over the news, a popular story that had many articles, many of which used words like Meth and manufacturing meth. When a news paper throws words around like Meth even though no Meth or anything related to meth was ever found, even after three different raids for the same probable cause of three MJ plants.I can see how Mr. Nelsons business has suffered. However when the DA relized the case didnt hold water, the paper suddenly stopped reporting and left it and Mr.Nelson as a busted Methhead. No wonder he doesnt return your calls. Finally it isnt illegal to have three MJ plants in your home, the judge who signed the warrent should know these things, if anyone should be held accountable it should be him. Now it gets reported that the charges were dropped, right after an election and months after the fact. And this suprises who???

Arrest warrant pending in pot bust

Certainly they know what the "chemicals" are by now and are probably too embarrassed to publish it. ... until they create some very CSI influenced story to justify their actions! On a lighter note.... that picture of the investigators with the teeny tiny pot plant in their costumes is priceless! Someone should send it to David Letterman or something:) Pretty much says it all about the war on drugs...

Arrest warrant pending in pot bust

No wonder there is a meth problem. These officers are wasting time and money harrassing some guy who is out of town on a rafting trip...who probably has a medical marijuana license. Its been a week and they still are still dangling these "mysterious clear liquids" in front of our faces. Obviously they know that the liquids have nothing to do with any sort of meth operation. They are most likely something as innocent as fertilizer , home brewed beer, or some kind of Chinese formula. I know lots of people in town who make fermented solutions out of beets and other veggies per recommendation by their acupuncturist or Chinese doctor. I hope that they find out that not only the plants but the liquids are some kind of medicine for this poor guy and that he can sue their pants off. Anyhow it will be interesting to watch how they keep changing their story about why they had any right to search his property in the first place. He is in for a shock when he gets off the river. Wow.

Corna death ruled suicide

I have a friend in Portchester who I am going to question r.e. their police department and see if he can find out anything on that end. This is so wrong. I agree that there is no possible way that Chris would have killed himself. Never. The last person who ever would do so.

Wall to face DUI charges

Having witnessed the lengths that political entities go to win their personal battles in this town, I have not a doubt that Wall was drugged. Anyone with their head out of their ass can see the obvious set-up. The police are getting away with harassment. Failure to dim headlights is a ridiculous reason to pull someone over. Maybe these cops should be paying more attention to the car and residential burglaries taking place around here. This is a pathetic waste of energy for some sore loser out for revenge.

Deb Babcock: Can we grow tomatoes here?

I have discovered an amazing solution to our short growing season.... hyproponics. With these new inexpensive, user friendly systems you can have cherry tomotoes, lettuce, and kitchen herbs all year long. I actually couldn't believe it when I first tried. The product I bought is called Aerogarden, and the website is www.aerogrow.com

Happy Spring! Its going to be a good season for the rivers for all you rafters out there. Enjoy.

Aging Well: Taking care of the caregiver

Are people with aging/ ill/ dying grandparents who are in a long distance caregiving role invited to attend these support groups? I have 2 grandmothers in the hospital 2000 miles away, and can't go be there physically. I send flowers and cards and call often, but feel inadequate. In fact the guilt is becoming detrimental to my health and relationships with the rest of my family. I would love a support group!
