Not that the yampa valley would end up like south lake tahoe, but after spending some time there I wouldn't want to see hayden end up a haven for people with nothing to lose except their paychecks.
would like to see a story about this gamble s hall character.. From a second hand account i've learned he's a pretty dangerous citizen here in steamboat especially with his most recent arrest.
for only having to drive 131 to oak creek for ten years I certainly had my fair share of scary moments, especially when glenwood canyon or rabbit ears would be shut down due to snow, accidents or rock slides.
That road felt REAL narrow on deep powder days. Especially with a big rig coming the other way.
I for one am happy to see the work being done, and im sure theres a few others out there who feel the same.
It will make the drive much more enjoyable and safe for people to go out to Oak Creek and have dinner, go on a hike to pyramid peak, or find somewhere to call home.
