I don't understand what all the fuss is about. The Council keeps approving tearing down the old structures on Linclon Avenue to replace them with Breckenridge look-alike buldings while saying that Steamboat must have a unique character. Formula store or mom and pop, put in a faux-turn of the century building that is the duplicate of those at all the ski towns simply identifies Steamboat as a formula ski town
The City Council finally made a good decision on the community center. This has been a classic study in how not to run a city. Maybe the "study another site" people can recognize that with every delay the costs will go up.
City Coucil played games with the center for months while promising to honor the pledge to complete the community center. Now the seniors be damned. Politician's promises are only good for getting votes. Now they promise to leave a segment of the population out in the cold while a more glamorous project is started. The trendy ski people don't use the community center so why should the council care?
