Thankfully the apprentice did not die from the contact and is recovering...should electocuted really be used in the title? Look up the definition of the word. Again, the important thing is he or she is ok.
Regardless of the above stated numbers, I have to disagree with SB not being friendly for new businessess. Since 2009 we have seen several new restaurants, retail establishments, dispensaries, etc, which are thriving off of the communities needs or desires. I am bummed you had to relocate to find work, you are not alone. Good luck to those engaged in the struggle to remain here another year. Good luck with your software, I hope it all works out well for you in the future.
Great ideas. Keeping it local is a good concept...just out of curiosity, is the General Contractor currently building the new Alpine Campus at CMC in SB a local franchise of the larger company?
Thanks again to all involved to make SB a safer bike community... I do have a few favorites- the ones before and after the traffic circle on Mt. Werner are mostly in the car lane, one leads to a dead end. The ones on Anglers, Yampa, and Village are just plain out there. Watch out for F350 Super-Duty mirrors. Seems like packing 5 pounds of bike lane into a 2 pound box. Again, a sincere thanks for this effort by all involved.
I am always in support of all things two wheels, and am grateful for the work put in by all involved...but as I read the Pilot online everyday, my viewing is constantly "bounced" around by "Ski Town Lifestyle" ads, or an ad for the "Ski Town" golf classic, or something else hyping the Ski Town USA, the place I call home. Why try to change the nickname? Can't we have bike lanes, bike traffic rules (check yourself when you ride, stop at a stop sign playa), etc, and still be Steamboat Springs Ski Town USA? Just make the improvements already and don't try to force a new nick name onto SB. The Wakesurfing has been good... what about WakeTown USA? Thank you Mrs. Thirsty!
Again, thanks to all involved, hopefully the money will help with nescessities in the cycling community, not a nick name.
Truly a sad day for Colorado... Words really don't work to tell how Scott will be missed. Thanks to all Pro Patrollers who have our backs during the celebration we call winter. With a heavy heart, my turns will be in your memory this year. Thank you.
Maybe some signs on River Road encouraging cyclists to use the Core Trail for a few more weeks until the near shoulderless road returns to its normal usage patterns for cars? Only a matter of time before a 250 Super Duty mirror meets up with a cyclist... I all for two wheels, but a cyclist can't keep up with the new 65mph speed limit on River Road.
