The judge and the conservative minds of Routt and STMBT were Freaked out by the Rainbow family, plain and simple. They are over reacting to 2 hippies that were expecting the town of STMBT to treat them as if they were at a gathering.
Both sides are wrong here: 1st the judge is not sentencing on a consistent basis (see Billy the Kid at sh!ttymarkup) 2nd the hippies are wrong for assuming/expecting the world to work like a rainbow gathering, it doesn't.
The gathering is over, never to return, the judge made his point, Let the hippies go.
