I do not believe relocating on the only main thoroughfare through Steamboat is the answer nor being on the river, a desireable location Do whatever it takes to sell the iron horse! Relocate by the jail there by making a campus of city services. Wasn't that the original intent?
Is anyone upset our tax dollars were spent on an issue the city could not win. What with all the cuts and shortages and in the midst of it all they appeal. C'mon lets get real re read kmm comment again then you will know what is truyl going on. It is called pet projects, re election and development hogs.
"If it ain't broken don't fix it"! Wendy & Hank have done an outstanding job and they have done it with patience and a good attitude. It is not an easy job. This is how we repay them??? I am very disappointed with this decision and hope the City Council will over turn the "Golf Committee" (who are these bozos?) recommendation. This is not the time to change. I bet the next guys won't be here 12 years!
It would be nice if the Steamboat Pilot reporters would substantiate their information rather than print false information such as is printed in this artical and the one last week regarding the Arts Council's future plans.
The credibility of the Steamboat Pilot is at risk with the continued practice of getting the information wrong.
Loved the books
Maybe we would have money for these programs and others the city are cutting if the city did not let the Parks and Rec Director make their decisions regarding lawsuits against the city. Who made the Parks and Rec Director the Decision maker in Steamboat??? In other words who made Chris Wilson mayor??? Save money, settle the lawsuit!
