I find it funny we had tons of press about this in the Spring, and then it as just dropped from public view, and imagine that, they are here AGAIN!
Usually I just get stopped for directions to someplace, but I missed out riding on Emerald the other day because the traffic was too much to even get there much less park (since I live out of town and need to drive my bike to trails in town)
I've learned that besides work, I avoid downtown in the summer, its too crazy already
woo South Routt! Yampa fireworks were nice and slow but rhythmic, and a wonderful finale. Stagecoach had a great first year of fireworks. A few residents shot several off but the real show was really great! Can't wait for next year!
They did advertise in the paper and had a sign out by US 40 but honestly I never was hungry when I drove by and I think the location wasn't very good for that sort of thing. It sucks to see this though. Partly I don't eat out because its just more expensive than cooking healthy meals at home, and with fule costs rising, its really hard for a small business to really take off these days. Marketing!!
uhh.. there ARE trails deemed usable for Mountain Biking out there by the way...
Obviously he didn't STAY on the trail.. or something. I go out biking all alone sometimes but I always let someone know where I am going and how long I should be. I also bring my cell phone.
Generally if its a longer ride or one I haven't done, I will not go alone - common sense.

Fireworks blast Steamboat
woo South Routt!

Our View: Ride a bike; obey the laws
its unfortunate that I do indeed need to drive into town still..
Steamboat is too expensive so I own a place out of town.
Sorry that 20 miles of County Roads with no shoulders then a 65 MPH highway just doesn't seem to be a safe commute for me and my dog.
When I did live in town, I biked and walked everywhere.. we really really need a shuttle for South Routt!

as a mountain biker, it sucks getting thrown into the category of "cyclist"
ROADS ARE NOT PLAYGROUNDS
I can't tell you how many times I've passed riders on 131 3 abreast at least. Or the lady with her baby in the trailer behind her.. no helmets!!
I stick to the trails, because I'd rather not risk my life. Biking on the highways just isn't fun, its dangerous!

Should a four-field sports complex be built near Steamboat Springs Airport to help accommodate Triple Crown?
is triple crown going to pay to build it? Are they going to pay to maintain it?
