Thanks Ski Corp! Was looking forward to my family coming to visit but they decided to go to Whistler instead. That would have been 6 visitors generating business for more than just Ski Corp. But now, not only am I not buying a lift ticket for myself to ski with them, neither are my 6 family members who would have skied a week. First time in 20 years I didn't buy a pass, first time int 20 years they arnt visiting, thank God! Now I get to spend my locally earned dollar in Canada! Just hope I have work to come home to...
Poor Clay, ripped to shreds in mere seconds.....tough crowd in this here comments
No matter what you say, someone will twist it into their political agenda. Remember, these are professionals, they do this every day!
My god people, a little respect. A man is dead and this is what his family gets to read in the comments? Disgusting...you should be ashamed of yourself. Frigging looser making death assumptions on someone you don't even know. Keep your childish fabricated ideas to yourself, whatever retarded point you are trying to make is totally lost in translation.
Thank you Ulrich, well said!
That is so wonderful! Congratulations!!
Sun obviously can't read as I said in my post that "I guess I'll have to get used to it" and also stated that I like to ride my bike too. Thanks for the attempt at insult but I'm not loosing any sleep worrying about my fine ass in spandex or not. Why don’t you and Mr Orton get together and pull out your check books and pay for "better" roads, the ones I pay for and drive on work just fine.
Chip n seal them all, you don’t see me driving my subaru down the bike path do you? I like to ride my bike too, but this is getting out of hand. Bikes on every road, trail, path, you name it. Wish I could hike without worrying about getting run over, wish I could drive without worrying about running them over. Bike craze is here, guess I'll have to get used to it, but don't ask me to pay for it too. Bike town USA sucks, I moved to Ski Town USA 20 years ago, what happened to that? I pay for my ski pass to ski, I pay taxes for my lovely chip n seal roads.
McDonald's cheese burgers are cheaper and more convenient than a turkey sandwich & apple. Thanks for all the great ideas, sounds like effort needs to be made to eat healthy...i don't even feel like getting out of my car to eat lunch. What else can I say, fat lazy nation.
Gosh, do love the passion this town has for it's sports but we sure get carried away sometimes. Everyone seems so excited about biking right now it is overriding common sense. Thank you for a great letter, puts things back into focus.
When the biking craze is over, the wildlife will still be here and will still need a place to live. I hope that I'm not too far fetched in saying that it's the mountains & the wildlife that most of us live here for. Is nurturing nature to much to ask? I thought biking was supposed to be friendly to the environment.
If Steamboat is so into recycling, why is it so hard for the average household to recycle? Those that want to recycle around here have to make an extra effort as it is. If paying for plastic bags brings me curb side service then maybe it would be worth it....maybe i'd actually recycle. In the the meantime, I'll keep reusing my plastic bags for trash, dog pop, etc & I'll keep throwing away plastic bottles, packaging, cans, whatever. It's what i bring home in those bags that won't get recycled. Charge me or not, life goes on. Put it on the ballot, I'll vote no.
