Wait!! We haven't heard from Mr Cook yet. 3 story condos, and multi-use buildings. Come on people drive the real estate market!! A park where there could be a condo? A place in Nature instead of millions in sales tax dollars and another 30 condos to be sold in town? Call Mr Cook and lets Sale Our Soul!! Everybody now "S.O.S.".
Gee, all of a sudden it doesn't seem to matter if Gary Wall had one or two glasses of wine.
"God bless this family. Hold this young man close to you in the days to come and be the strength he will need in his young life. And God, help him to seek you, when he just doesn't understand."
Gawd, you guys are boring. The comments on 9news' web page are much more entertaining. http://www.9news.com/news/local/article.aspx?storyid=95927&catid=346#comments
Paige, Paige, Paige. Thats such a fantasy. You are thinking of how we (community and city council) would have done things 10 to 15 years ago. Man, have things changed. I am afraid those days are gone Paige. That fantasy that was our community; gone.
It's integrity that needs to be taught, and I know you don't teach that by beating it into someone (as good as that would feel, that tactic loses the lesson). You live it, mentor it, and nourish it in a persons life; the younger you start, the easier. But it can still happen at 21.
Do a search on this site on this one: "Ryan Dobbs". 12 bookings in the record on line since 2003, and he is only 23. Surely both of these guys, et. al. are on probation or in their care. My roommate who is on probation for a DUI, his first run in, feels probation is a joke, just pay your money and all they want is you to get off probation, not treatment or addressing the issues. They don't really care at all about anything but the money. Shouldn't these two examples have their probation revoked by now?
Maybe Mountaingirl should go visit him in jail and try to have an influence. If that doesn't work I am still available for the job of teaching discipline and respect to the kid for a nominal fee from his parents. I have experience with inner-city youth, if I can do it for kids in the real ghetto's, I am sure it can work with kids in the . . . Steamboat ghetto's? River front trailer parks I mean.

Yeah, I'd like to believe that he may make a change. However looking back he made this "special section" before his big run-in in January. Back in October he made it for an MIP and false reporting. So this will likely be his third "chance" just in Steamboat. I know his parents love him, so why don't they move him back home. Obviously he's not cutting it on his own. Let him move back when he matures and can handle himself with out mom and dad.
"More curious" perhaps? Or "more and more curious"? Just a thought.
"It was a struggle about how to make an appropriate offer in this case due to the severity of the injuries," she said--prosecutor Oldham.
Why offer a plea agreement? What's so hard about it? These people deserve to have 20 of their bones broken one by one every year for the next 5 years while serving 10 years. I volunteer to do the breaking since the 5 week old can't do it.
