sorry it shows me "anonymous", i don't know how to change that...im scott in the yellow chair
"his radical upbringing and education, both formal and informal."....so when our children participate in student exchange programs in africa, (like my niece did in a muslim country) that must mean they have a "radical" education ??...or if they're raised by a single parent,(like my 4 successful kids) thats a "radical" upbringing ??......
i'm not defending obama, i'm defending those of us who don't share your political or religious views....IT DOESN'T MAKE US WRONG !
"If even those folks near the bottom of the food chain start to realize this basic economic fact that the private economy funds the public one, perhaps a genuine political transformation could begin to stop thinking of the government as the source of free this and that. ".......that statement alone, should offend the entire working class in this town, because here WE ARE THE BOTTOM OF THE FOOD CHAIN...FEW of us are takers, MOST of us are struggling to keep the lights on most months and busting our butts to do it....And lastly PILOT, this is OPINION, not NEWS
"Even people who voted for President Barack Obama concede this was a very thin résumé for a man to ascend to the pinnacle of power in the entire world"...yet those who twice voted in the man who w/his puppeteers, did more damage to this country (for personal gain) than every pres before him COMBINED...won't concede that no one could fix that amount of dmg in a mere 20 months...where were you while the last administration was trampling our civil rights and bankrupting the middle and working class ? ..i know, you were re-electing them....
"Further, almost everyone knows this eventually will bankrupt us." ....eventually ?? i think that happened about 3 years ago..
hopefully here..then he has to be exposed every day of his sentence, to the community that welcomed him to visit and enjoy but instead he chose to victimize
dave will be missed most, for being himself....our doc introduced us so i could help dave get used to life in the chair, but he didn't need it...it didn't define him like it does so many...i remember nearly every conversation we ever had, but i don't think we ever had one about the chair per se.....life, relationships, weather, politics, health, friendship..we would have been friends regardless of our wheels....he was a good man, with a genuine heart, he loved his wife and loved life and was the first to admit it...we should all be so lucky
a reduction in sentence ?....because she admitted what she'd already been busted for ?....why are the courts resources even being wasted on this ?...just send them off to prison already...and restitution is a joke...just take EVERYTHING they own, auction it off and pay the bank what was stolen, and reimburse the courts their cost..
sorry, i meant "friendliest"
welcome to the "friendly" town !
i'm sorry, i think williams and fatka deserve their punishment and more....BUT ! these "victims" of the fraud are more victims of their own ignorance than of two bank tellers....if you have so much money, that A: you can't keep track of it....or B: you don't worry about funds til your broke....you have too much!.....and if you are a business owner with this kind of accountability, maybe you should stick to just being an employee?..i'd be a bit hesitant to do business with a company that can't balance their own checking account ...have any of these "victims" heard of an account balance ledger ?...its those extra pages in the back of your check book.....if on-line banking is too complicated, have your 5th grader explain it to you...its really simple...it even does the math for you...and its free....its hard to have sympathy for those loaded enough not to miss thousands of dollars....nothing personal, i know none of the victims, but maybe they should explain to the kids that there is no spring break because "mom and dad don't balance accounts til accounts bounce"......the criminals in this are criminals, plain and simple...but the victims here made themselves victims by being nonchalant with their own finances............anyone with enough money, not to care til its gone, maybe needs to live in the real world with the rest of us where irresponsibility with our finances has consequences, not pity parties and reimbursement...........
.....these two thieves were'nt even that smart or sneaky, they were bank cashiers for craps sake not accountants or investors...CASHIERS!...they were given the opportunity by poor personal accountability
ALL of you should be too embarrassed and ashamed to let the paper publish your names
i hope you read this, dj........mr. "its NOT irresponsible to go without a life jacket"
