Queenie 6 years, 1 month ago on Hayden Town Council denies Kum & Go move request

The Town Council failed to represent the majority of their constituents who actually live in the town limits. If you look at the letters submitted and listen to the opposition at the meeting state their addresses before speaking their mind, you would notice the HUGE majority of them do not live in the town limits, and do not vote for the Town Council and do not pay property taxes. Why are THEY telling US how to run our town? Why did the Town Council vote for the minority and not the majority of the community they represent?

On a funny side note, Kum & Go already owns the vacant lot they wish to build on. The same vacant lot the opposition and the Town Council said they wish to "wait for something better" to come along to allow at that locaton. Hmmmm, ya think Kum & Go will sell? I highly doubt it.

Queenie 6 years, 2 months ago on Meg Bentley: My Walgreens vote

I totally agree with Dan and with Scott's comment "Wrong thinking about the lessee, right thinking about the building design."

I am so sick of government telling me how and where to spend what's left of my paycheck after I've paid all my taxes just like I've done since I was 15 years old! I thought we were in a democratic nation with free enterprise and competition. It's not my job to keep local stores open, that's their job. If they have what I want at a price I'm willing to pay then I will spend my money there. If they don't, I will go somewhere else. If they want my business, earn it. Make me want to support your business. For example...I won't pay $50 for a bag of dog food here in town when I can get the exact same bag for $37.50 at another store 17 miles west. AND....I go there anyway so don't tell me the trip itself makes up the difference, trust me, I've done all the math on that one.

You want socialism? Head north.

i recall an old bumber sticker..."if guns are outlawed, then only outlaws will have guns". Why would anyone think that new laws would restrict the outlaw?

Scott: again,I did not make a comment about her or toward her...just a question. "Seek first to understand." Quite a concept.
