Strange, I have been out (even today) and have talked face to face with business owners and operators and managers...not one person indicated that business had picked up or was good since the economic down turn began...wonder where their "magic" numbers are coming from. I still hear about businesses shuttering, or never getting off the ground, people are still being laid off and having difficulty finding work. How can they say things are getting better when they are most obviously NOT!!!!!
so for the sake of the "almighty" dollar we allow these reckless, drunk, and violent people to come here to party in a parking lot with a big tent and a selective music style (as we all can hear at night_ when locals are normally enjoying the peace and quiet of the valley)...hummm is it really worth it???...they don't tip and they trash condos...I have heard of a few places saying they will boycott "Music fest" next year....maybe its time to find an event that EVERYONE can enjoy- not just a select group. Even the tourists (who are here for the Steamboat experience) avoid this group...that's sayin' something!!!
I think Mr.Miller should have been allowed to leave his cowboy hat on for the booking photo..:o)))
I agree, they are such majestic and massive creatures. It's so amazing to see them walking through my yard, I appreciate their presence.
Hunters who don't know the difference between an Elk & a Moose should not even be allowed to load a squirt gun.
Denver post is reporting most of north western co is out- Verizon, AT&T, Sprint & T-Mobile were knocked out along with some long distance land lines.
yep, had to leave work early...can't respond to emails... no internet....hope they get it fixed soon....i'm having texting withdraws....lol, kidding..good excuse to get out and enjoy the beautiful day!!!

Seems like some people out there (skifree) may have additional "insider" information...any thing you"d like to share with the class skifree?? or just repeating rumors?? I didn't see any of that in the story- but as we all know there is probably more to this one.
Seriously folks, I know this brings business, but can we kindly remind all these people that the traffic laws do still apply , even if you are part of some race team..we are glad your here, but please respect the community that has welcomed you. I cringe and stay off the roads when we have these large events. I am amazed at how quickly people forget how to drive. Be safe out there!!
This situation seems like it is/was very avoidable; they (RSCO) knew there was a potential for problems between these two- they admitted it. Good luck avoiding a lawsuit from Mr. Huber.
