Hayden election has multiple contested races for 1st time in years

Laurie, your daughter went to Soroco. Doing that your family was ripping off the students of the Hayden School District? Sending state dollars to Soroco instead of Hayden! Now, you want to get involved in Hayden's school system?

To the voters of Hayden, a little hypocritical don't you think?

Hayden, Steamboat school board seats contested

Attn. Hayden School District Voters:
Tim Frentress & Laurie Hallenbeck have teamed up together because they are from the old guard and do not like change. They are not progressive thinkers to guide the district forward. Just a reminder, Laurie did ripe off the residents of the district by sending her daughter to Soroco a few years back.

Cyclist collides with car, has minor injuries

As a motorcyclist & bicyclist, I have always followed that gross (vehicle) weight always rules. On a cycle of any form you must be aware of things larger than you, be it deer or motor vehicle.

Before you jump to any conclusions, which will hard for some of you, try to understand the reasoning behind the proposed calendar. I know for you change is a hard pill to swallow!

Parents riled over new school calendar

Unfortunately, Queenie your ignorance is showing! What is this telling our children with your rant?
The first two days are non productive anyway, the kids are not ready for school; they have to get their books, class schedules are being arranged, basically chaos & so on. So why not get those days over with and come back after Labor Day ready for school.
Also which is more important your lifestyle or your children's education?

Parents riled over new school calendar

A group of fourteen people, better hold the meeting in the auditorium! I've got to be there, just for the entertainment alone.

Commission denies funding requests

The citizens of Steamboat Springs voted to share the funds, but there was no mechanism to allocate them. So now the other school districts have to convince (i.e.: plead / beg) the Capital Commission, then the Almighty Fund Board that their projects are worthy of the funds.

What needs to be arranged is that funds are allocated to Soroco and Hayden School Districts at a set percentage every year and let them decide how those funds are distributed. The Fund Board (or the other THREE commissions) is dictating what projects are worthy for funding to those districts.

Cut the check and let those districts decide were the funds are directed.

Cari Hermacinski and Meg Bentley: Be part of the process

It is obvious you can't keep your support in chambers. Even if you have voted against an issue, don't rally the troops after the fact.
