Has anyone ever seen an aerial shot of the island of Manhattan NY. Building packed in like sardines. In the middle of that chaos is 640 acres called Central Park. Probably some of the most expensive real estate in the world, yet they haven't built on it yet and they never will. They are in dire need of more space yet preserve what should be preserved. We have plenty of space and despite the fact that after 13 years of living in this town I have never been in Rita Valentine Park I don't think the police should take one inch of that area.
I live in Silver Spur & this is the 1st I am hearing about it. I've was home all night & day & did NOT receive any reverse 911 messages. However I DID receive a reverse 911 for the BIKE RACE!!!!!!! Drank water after 11:30 PM last night & woke up this morning with a migraine. Drank lots of water all day from 3 water bottles that were filled yesterday. Still have a migraine. Not sure it's from the water or from not receiving any messages regarding contaminated water. KATHY NERNEY
Rebuilding Ski Time Square is not even on the horizon let alone anytime soon. If the city and ski corp wanted to earn money they would allow previous ski time sq. business people to set up temporary tents like they do for MusicFest and the Sheraton has for weddings on the grounds and have all the night life visitors could handle. But then again that would make to much sense and common sense is not councils forte.
I'd vote for you if I could but I'm not pretty enough to live in the city.
I second that motion that Ernie would be a good choice. However I know how much this town just loves New Yorkers so Ernie probably doesn't stand a snowballs chance in Hell.
Mr. Ford love your work but you are not playing by the rules. For a list of rules ask Mr. Jones, Mr. Hartless and others. Thanks
Chris good luck to you with your future endeavors. Always enjoyed your smiling face especially on New Years Eve at the Pirates Pub.
On another note why is everyone scurrying away like cockroaches when the lights come on???
Well now that the blogs are relatively devoid of controversy due to the ban on you know who and the paper is changing as well I guess I'll have to go back to reading the big city papers. It's rare I pick up a hard copy of this paper. Guess they should go the way of all the other print tabloids and just disappear.
Carrie-- there is always a solution and it always includes more money. An old saying in construction is "There's never time to do it right but always time to do it over."
It was more of a math problem than anything else,-------no wonder kids these days don't know how to give change at Wal Mart or McDonalds!! What else are they not learning at these schools?
