Scott, As a former Sunray Meadows resident, I can say that a sidewalk is seriously needed in the area mentioned on Village Drive. There is a fine sidewalk that runs along Sunray Meadows all the way to Meadowlark and then it ends. This forces pedestrians to walk in the road from Meadowlark's driveway entry to Walton Creek Road. I have had more than a few scares walking to the mountain on that little stretch of roadway. Also, many people travel that roadway on foot because it is a pretty direct route to the base area from residences in that vicinity. Yes, Yampa St. needs sidewalks too, I don't discount that fact.

It only makes sense to send two reporters as the reporter to local athlete ratio is pretty high. How can one reporter cover all that? I was happy to read coverage about the athletes I know since I am not in Steamboat now.

Do we really need another Mexican restaurant? We already have eleven places where you can get Mexican food including Taco Bell, Qdoba and two taco stands.

My favorite was the day the ski area measured snow fall in .25 inch increments:

Jan. 14 Snow

Past 24 hours: 0.25 inches of new snow at mid-mountain

Past 48 hours: 0.75 inches at mid-mountain
