Bond lowered. Bond reduced. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? Wasn't Garrecht just re-elected? And the guy from the library is still sitting in jail. Give me a break! Let's just give everyone a free pass... "Not my kids" & "boys will be boys". UH, they grow up to be BIG CRIMINALS, because here in Steamboat Springs you just get a slap on the wrist and a lolly pop... I wonder why our kids are so screwed up?!

I'm curious, do you suppose he's responsible too, for the missing antlers off the sculpture in front of Romicks on Lincoln? Someone check his pants! OUCH...

“I guess I view this more harshly than the DA’s office does,” Garrecht said. “I’m going to set bond at $100,000.”

He's homeless for cryin out loud! I'm almost certain Hubers one phone call wasn't going to be to Donald Trump!

Why keep adults out of the "Teen" area? We allow them to believe they are entitled to privacy (in a public building), to do and say as they please. What our teens need is to be monitored, mentored, parented, and put back in place when they act up!

I'm pretty sure there is more to this story that we aren't hearing. I doubt these kids (I've heard them referred to as punks), by other teens for the way they treat their peers, were innocent in all of this. Ask them what type of language they were using in the library for ALL to hear. Ask them what they were saying about the girls profile on facebook, for ALL to hear. I guarantee it would not fall short of sexual harassment.

Seems to me, if Adam were some crazy, out-of-control, pocket knife (the kind you widdled with when you were a kid), wielding crazy man, he wouldn't have gone so peacefully.

Adam will take his punishment. What lesson will kids take from this?

And before I forget, while perusing those public documents I found that ONE Sergeant makes 20K more a year than the other two. I hope this isn't the same Sgt. that was mentioned in a previous comment that has been seen hanging out at 7-11 throughout his shift. You think he felt the pinch of a pay reduction? I'll take his job! Calm down, I know they received 5% of the reduction back...

Now correct me IF I'm wrong...As I perused the county budgets for 09. 10, and 11, I see the "Evidence Tech" received a nice raise in 2010 along with a Title change. This, mind you, all during a freeze of any wage increases. In fact, I believe there was a mandatory 10% pay reduction. From Evidence Tech to Special Deputy, so as to allow this new position to display a badge and most likely a weapon. How difficult can it be to keep up with a little baggie of white powder and some cash.

Detective 101, has anyone Investigated the Special Deputy? Secondly, was this from Walls term or a prior administration? Thirdly, who did the inventory prior to Wall taking office? (wasn't it the SSPD evidence tech). Fourthly, who was the evidence tech during the administration prior to Wall?

Where's TCB when we need him?
