Nancy's a tough cookie, and we've been fortunate to have her as long as we have.
Way to watchdog this, County Commissioners. Thank you for protecting our interests!
The City needs a Deputy City Manager so that, when the City Manager is gone (for example, because of a life-threatening sky diving or skiing accident), there is a competent person on staff who can keep the City running.
I've been very impressed with what I've seen of Deb at City Council meetings. Smart choice.
Sure enjoying all the discussion today. Don't need to watch any soaps. I have two comments:
First, can everyone please stop misusing the word "kahuna?" Kahuna is a Hawaiian word, defined as a "Priest, sorcerer, magician, wizard, minister, expert in any profession." I think the word you want is "cojones."
Second, congrats to Ed Board. This was a well-written piece, and you definitely showed some COJONES in taking on this topic.
Cool story! Congratulations to this determined lady.
Me either, 1999.
Rodeman admits she was experiencing a headache and severe jaw pain before she was taken on the ambulance to the hospital: “I thought I was having a stroke or something,” she said Wednesday. Yet Steamboat Springs taxpayers are going to pay for her ambulance ride? She wouldn't have been tased in the first place if she hadn't been threatening the officer who went to her home. I personally don't want to pay this woman's bills for her.
By the way, Scott Ford, you have to be careful about the comments you throw out in jest. I noticed one of the sustainability guys at the meeting said he would support your glazed donut initiative. Yikes!
Hermacinski demonstrated logic and reason last night with her comments on the bag initiative. In summation, she said that, just because it is technically legal for the Council members to put the bag fee in place, that doesn't mean it's the right thing for them to do.
As for Bentley, it was embarrassing to watch her. She couldn't even figure out how to make a motion.
