BoatMaster 6 years ago on Brent Boyer: Cleaning up our online comments

I think the Pilot has a legitimate reason for stopping some of these rants, but possibly based on what I read above could be doing in in the wrong manner.

I truely believe that many of the folks who post here are not of the majority voice of the town and the comments are hurtful to the image of Steamboat. If anyone was thinking of visiting or moving here and read these comments I am sure they would think everyone here are a bunch of freaks.

Most of these comments are from the same 20 or so people. Some post often every day all the time and feel they are the voice of Steamboat. Not to mention the whole entitlement issue many posters have about Steamboat.

The Pilot should just turn off the blog section and let everyone just read the news. If you have a issue then send a email or letter to the paper for publication. They could even start a email comments section in the paper.

If you want to blog about Steamboat start a blog away fjrom the pilot.

Also...What about a PDF version of the whole paper instead of just the front page??

Not that I totally love the TugBoat but if you don't like it then stay away.

SteamboatNucs sounds like he was kicked out of the joint and is a little bitter.

You haters sound like the people that complain about a TV show or a radio show and want it yanked off the air - instead of just changing the channel.

If you like the boat the go there. If you don't like it then stay away and stop crying... (yes that means you SteamboatNucs)

Heck, I don't like Chinese food but I don't complain about the Panda, I just go somewhere else and let the people that like Chines food enjoy that place. (No Offense Panda )

Good Point Ms E Bronte !

Also, as a father of two small children who only just drove through Oak Creek with the family, am outraged that Kathy "Cargo" Rodeman decided it was ok to endanger my family's life along with everyone else on the road.

She decided it was OK to take the chance to kill me or others that were on the road at the time of her drinking and driving.

That PI22ES me OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Meggie

the legal definition of being guilty of DUI is a BAC of 0.08

Her level was 0.102. Which means she was OVER the limit to be charged with DUI

Not very low as you say.

ThreeJobs

The difference is that the dealer with the higher price is trying to stay in business.

If you don't go there he will be out of business shortly and you will complain that there is no place close to get fuel.

I agree that it is a crappy business, but it is reality.

Maybe one person was driving and the other smoking some weed? Maybe one person driving and the other starts running her mouth to the officer during the stop and gets a obstruction charge..... or maybe they were sitting on each others lap and both were driving drunk - Ha Ha.

Whats wrong with the law enforcement in this town? It seems that nobody goes to jail.

Get arrested... Pay your fine.... do it again...

As steamboatconsciences says, why is James Buick on the streets??

Actually knowitall I have been in the kitchen withing the last 2 weeks.

Therefore you are not a knowitall, only a bitter little person.

Anyway, I just think it is a great institution of Steamboat.

Why don't the stations add a few more cents to the gallon to stay open??

Nobody tells them how much to charge and if they all are only making a few cents then there is no unfair competition. I think I would try pricing my products at a level that lets me stay in business and see what happens.

Both the drive to Denver and Alpine are options, but if you travel often thats a lot of hours tied up on the freeway and then you still have a long flight ahead of you.
