Blythe Terrell 3 years ago on Oak Creek vote gets tabled again

Scott, the mayor votes only if there is a tiebreaker vote needed or if there is not a quorum. If there are four board members present and the vote is 4-0, there is no need for Nikki to cast a vote. Blythe

Blythe Terrell 3 years ago on Oak Creek vote gets tabled again

Scott, three board members were there on June 23, which meant that Nikki Knoebel voted to make a quorum and the 2-2 tie at that meeting. Neither Wendy nor Dawn was present, but Wendy was present this week. Johrene Meyers-Story, Chuck Wisecup and Bernie Gagne were the board members present June 23. There were three board members and the mayor present. This week, there were four board members and the mayor. Does that make sense? Blythe Terrell City Editor

Highwaystar, we have pulled several posts. Please click "suggest removal" if you see something that violates our terms of use. We review every flagged post. A site user has to consistently behave in an extremely inappropriate way to merit a ban. In Duster's case, although there is some name-calling, differences of opinion seem to be driving most of the frustration. We encourage everyone to be respectful in our online forums, but we try to monitor them with an even hand to let folks say their piece. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions. DrGreenGenes and all other commenters,

I've removed just one comment from this thread since Brent initially posted, and it was one that included the suggestion of profanity in an instance of name-calling of another user. One of the challenges is that we try to let people speak their minds while being mindful of our terms of use policy: http://www.steamboattoday.com/terms_of_use/

As a reminder, by becoming a user of this site, you agree to not:

1. upload, post, distribute, e-mail or otherwise publish or make available on WorldWest Limited Liability Company web sites any libelous, defamatory, obscene, harmful, vulgar, threatening, tortious, harassing, abusive, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, racially or ethnically objectionable, or otherwise illegal material;

If you see comments that you believe violate this policy, please click "suggest removal." The editors here consider every comment that is flagged and then decide whether to remove it. The system isn't perfect, but we try to monitor what is being said to the best of our ability.

Thanks, everyone, for your cooperation.

Your point is well taken, Scott. That was purely a reference to the difference in the year-over-year percentages. Blythe Terrell City Editor 970-871-4234

Blythe Terrell 3 years, 2 months ago on Sweet Pea’s Hieb accused of theft

Hi, boatborn,

Thanks for your comments. The comments removed made allegations against another business owner that could be seen as defamatory. They were removed per the website's terms of use policy, which can be found here: http://www.steamboattoday.com/terms_of_use/.

We also removed several comments that raised allegations against the Sweet Pea establishment that weren't related to this case or Mr. Hieb's arrest.

Please feel free to contact me if you have questions.

Blythe Terrell 3 years, 2 months ago on Hayden sees sales tax bump of 21.6 percent

Hi, Scott,

There's a two-month lag for collections in Hayden. In the second paragraph, it states: "Finance Director Lisa Dowling said the $106,606, which reflects sales taxes collected in March, ..."

The numbers are reported in May but don't reflect May collections. Sorry for the confusion.
