The DeVincentis e-mails

Scott, What do you make of the rumors surfacing about McGowan working with an attorney in Denver to bring a suit against the Pilot and School District for the release of the emails? Have you heard any of this?

In the end.... After the dust settles... What good will come from all of this public debate?

Pat Gleason's statement

Gee, can you be any more full of yourself? - Excuse me while I pass gas.

Pat Gleason's statement

launnie, i agree... what a waste... how many of us would want our moments of anger and frustration plastered all over the paper... regardless of whether they were on a work computer or not...... AND - none of us know what hell Dr.D. went through with that Simms woman... So, who are we to judge?

Gleason: I'm the source

Ummm.. This situation HARDLY falls under the category of a TRAGEDY.... While I do NOT support what John did, I do think we have gone a bit overboard.

DeVincentis: I am not that person

So, what all of you are saying is that we don't value letting someone improve and change?

DO you want the same for your kids? What if the school did NOTHING to let those who fail improve? Do you not want your kids to be allowed a second chance for impropper actions they take?

Yes, John is a visible cmunity member who is supposed to be a role model. He has failed.. But do we send the message to the youth and to other adults that if you fail in this town you have no opportunity to improve? Maybe we do. Maybe we should cast off anyone who makes a mistake , police officers - The ones who didn't really respond to that rental house that was destroyed... Maybe to the dispatcher who didn't really relay the info. correctly or urgently enough. They didn't do their job. so , let's write them off?

COME ON! -This is a huge soap opera over something that was three years ago and YES, people do change.... Maybe he hasn't, but do we not owe people the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to change?

Gleason: I'm the source

"I resigned from the School Board knowing I could no longer make a positive contribution and that revealing his e-mails would be ethically deceitful. I had initially requested anonymity out of concern for my family and the anticipated backlash from John and his supporters."

The key beeing ethically deceitful.... This is on the same level as what John did 3 years ago in the emails....

The whole mess is just vulgar, really. I am not standin gup for John D. What I am saying is that we are commending a man for turning over the info. and he agrees it is ethically deceitful.......

Good God, I am glad you aren't serving on our school board anymore.

What a bunch of small town worthless battles... Don't we have bigger and more important things to worry about than what a school board member and former principal wrote three years ago?

AND did any of you ever expereince the same type of mis-treatment that John did with Dr. Simms? - Come on..... How are any of us able to predict how we would have reacted in the same situation? I can't for sure say that I wouldn't have been angry for a very long time if I had battled what John did. I AM NOT EXCUSING HIM... I am simply saying we sure have a lot of judges in this town...
