To make it easier for low-income residents to get their cats or dogs spayed or neutered, the Routt County Humane Society is hosting an eight-week auction to raise money for its spay/neuter program as well as provide for injured animals brought to the shelter.

Parents and teachers gathered last week at City Hall to watch the premiere of a video produced in a collaborative effort between Advocates Against Battering and Abuse and several local school students. The video, "Impact of Harassment on Youth," is part of Advocates' Youth Partnership Program.

On March 1, the amateur art lover and connoisseur alike can enjoy an evening of "Champagne, Chocolate, and Chagall" hosted by the Family Development Center. The auction to benefit the non-profit organization will feature framed fine art prints encompassing a variety of artistic styles, including southwestern, landscape, impressionism, wildlife, and abstract art.
