Mackenzie Yelvington is the evening editor and copy desk chief for the Steamboat Pilot & Today. After graduating from University of North Texas in May 2013 with a bachelor's degree in strategic communications and holding various internships, the mountains were calling her.

She obliged and has been elated with her decision ever since. Depending on the season, if not at work, she often can be found outdoors. Be it snowboarding, biking or hiking and photographing, she is passionate about enjoying the moment and soaking in the greatness that is all around in Steamboat Springs.

Created by Tod "JJ" Johnson in 2012 for the restaurant's opening, the drink exemplifies his mixology philosophy of starting with a great base, or perfectly infused alcohol, and adding a citrus and the perfect amount of sweetness.

I've been living in and loving Steamboat Springs or a year now, and it's been amazing. I've met some of the best people, done things I've never tried and gotten better at things I've done minimally prior to moving here (because Steamboat encourages that "get out and do it" mentality).
