Matt Stensland

Matt Stensland is a journalist for the Steamboat Pilot & Today. His newspaper career started at the age of 9, when he worked for five years as a carrier for The News-Gazette. He has worked for the Steamboat Pilot & Today since January 2006. Matt started working at the paper as a reporter covering the town of Hayden, real estate and business. After about a year he was hired on as the newspaper’s first full-time videographer. He is currently the cops and courts reporter and photographer ,and he compiled the book “Ski Town Shenanigans, The Best of the Steamboat Springs Police Blotter.” Matt has a bachelor’s degree in print journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and he grew up in Urbana.
