I am a Democrat, but I will not support anyone who is going to stand in the way of development, and the rights of property owners. It is my view that this canidate only supports the Rich and Removed views, not jobs, not healthy econmony, raise taxes, to promote the misleading concept that money is made only off of skiing. Its just not true.
Individual rights are not subject to a public vote; a majority has no right to vote away the rights of a minority; the political function of rights is precisely to protect minorities from oppression by majorities (and the smallest minority on earth is the individual). ~ Ayn Rand.~ This view was also held by our founding fathers, and embraced in our Constitution.
Oops, I may have just voted twice?
Not that many really read this stuff, but your uninformed comment likely sends a voter to Diane rather than Chuck. Please consider:
1) In Colorado, taxes cannot be raised without a vote of those taxed - per TABOR. Diane couldn't possibly earn your above criticism, and you don't even understand why.
2) Outside money is stuffing our mailboxes with the same "Diane raises taxes" baloney, so you have it backwards on which candidate is supporting the "rich and removed". It appears that would be Chuck. Sad to see you accept that, Chuck.
3) Majority rule is the cornerstone of Democracy. Plenty of minority protections are built into our laws for you. Given the D.C. gridlock, there may be too many minority protections and we are not able to resolve huge issues.
4) Jobs? On the local level, our clean mountain environment is critical with it's attraction of businesses and tourism. Not sure why you think skiing is the whole game? Protecting our environment is an economic necessity for Routt.
Tonight we received a robo call from "Compass Colorado". It was lie upon lie about our sitting County Commissioner, and your opponent , Diane Mitsch Bush.
Very disappointed in this trash you condone hoping to get yourself elected. Your post-election stock is going down. You are losing more than a seat.
