In 32 years driving Steamboat and Routt county roads professionally, I could count on one hand how many times I have seen a policeman even speaking to a bicyclist, let alone writing a ticket. They just do not seem to bother enforcing traffic and safety laws unless you are driving a motor vehicle. FAIL!!!!

In 15 years, about 10 of which I drove professionally, I have never seen a police officer or deputy even talking to a cyclist. I do ride a bicycle but I stop at stop signs and red lights.
