Disc Golf is a healthy affordable outdoor sport. It also happens to be one of the fastest growing sports because of these reasons. There are many disc golf courses in Colorado and they have been around for years. Have you visited or played any of these long established disc golf courses to see their impacts on their environment? It is very clear these courses have low impact on the land and wildlife. Additional foot paths to the areas in play are a positive impact on enjoying and viewing our great outdoors and all it has to offer. I can vouch for our disc club on the garbage we have already removed from Rita Valentine Park. Garbage such as golf balls, paint ball skins, trash near the Hill top connector. I see bears, moose, and deer often from my house on east maple street. They walk down the street or sidewalk just like a member of the community. I also see our wildlife neighbors often at CMC disc golf course when I am playing in the early morning or evenings. I think they find us amusing. We can all enjoy mother nature together. I know my kids do.
