A Colorado State Patrol officer said everyone was wearing their seatbelts and no one was injured in an accident Friday night on Colorado Highway 131 just outside of Oak Creek. The SUV lost control on a curve in the canyon, clipped the end of the guard rail and went down the slope. The salvage operation blocked most of the highway and officers ushered cars around until a truck got stuck, blocking traffic for about 10 minutes.

Plans for the new 77-unit Ski Country Lodge would replace the old Ski Country Building on Burgess Creek Road. The Bronze Tree condominium building, which fronts on Ski Time Square, is in the background. Ski Country Lodge has returned to the city planning process.
