Butcherknife Brewing Co. co-owner Mark Fitzgerald, left, and his partner Nate Johansing pulls hops out of a kettle Thursday afternoon during a simultaneous brew across the state. Butcherknife and five other Colorado breweries followed the same recipe, used the same ingredients and started at the same time as part of a collaborative brewing event. The final product will be featured at the 18th annual Colorado Brewers Rendezvous on July 12 in Salida. Because of the size of Butcherknife’s setup, it will account for more than 50 percent of the total volume of the Simultaneous Saison brewed this week. Photo by John F. Russell
