Routt County in photos: June 3, 2014

Photo detail

Homes located on the banks of the Yampa River seem safe from the rising waters caused by quickly melting snow in the high country and recent storms. Routt County of Emergency Management director, Bob Struble said that both the Yampa and Elk rivers are doing a good job of handling spring runoff. On Tuesday both rivers were below flood stage. Struble is optimistic the flooding will be isolated and that private structures will not be threatens, but added that he will have to wait and see what the next few days bring.
