Thomas Jessop, 17, of Santa Barbara, Calif., arrived in Steamboat Springs on Tuesday during his coast-to-coast charity bicycle ride for the homeless, according to a news release. Jessop is riding from San Francisco to Miami with a monthlong stop in Washington, D.C., to lobby Congress to help people who are living in their vehicles. Jessop also has done charity rides in each of the past three years. After leaving Steamboat today or Saturday, he will ride to Boulder, where he plans to volunteer with the Unity of Boulder church to help with flood-recovery work. Courtesy photo
