Trevyn Newpher, 31, raced as a pro downhill mountain biker based out of West Virginia before settling in Steamboat Springs full time for the first time this summer. A regular champion on the winter's Town Challenge alpine skiing circuit, now he's focused on relaying his skills in downhill mountain biking and will host a series of camps through the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club this summer.

The Stagecoach Property Owners Association recently launched a new survey to gauge the community's interest in establishing a charter school that could serve students there. Two years ago, the South Routt School Board talked about pursuing a new elementary school in Stagecoach on a 9-acre parcel near the Eagle’s Nest and Red Hawk Village subdivisions it owns.
