An elk eats the branches of a tree in front of the Bamboo Market on 11th street. Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers tranquilized the animal and moved it to a safer location away from the public. Wildlife officer Jim Haskins said the aging animal would be released in a safe location, and that — unless officers found an obvious problem — they would let nature take its course.
