Colorado Division of Parks and Wildlife officers check out an elk that was standing in front of the Bamboo Market on Yampa Street Monday afternoon. The officers were putting together a plan to try to move the elk to another area for the public's safety. Wildlife officer Jim Haskins, right, and biologist Jeff Yost said the older animal was in poor health and they doubt that the Elk will survive the winter.
