Steamboat Springs shortstop Kevin Kaster keeps his eye on the ball after slipping while fielding a ground ball in the first inning of Thursday afternoon’s game. Steamboat’s 10-year-old minors were taking on South Boulder in the first round of the Little League state baseball tournament at Emerald Park. South Boulder won, 14-3.
