Last month, city officials asked residents to help them decide how to spend the $650,000 to $800,000 generated each year by a 1 percent accommodations tax charged to visitors on their nightly lodging rentals. After a six-week “request for ideas” period that expired Monday, officials don’t have a shortage of suggestions.
