Dean Vogelaar, left, president of Mountain Valley Bank in Steamboat Springs, and Terry Jost, right, CEO and chairman of the board for Mountain Valley Bank, awarded Steamboat Springs High School Athletics Director Luke DeWolfe with a check for $5,000 this week. The money is for the high school’s Booster Club and, specifically, to help cover the $30,000 needed to fully fund athletic team transportation costs during the upcoming school year. Vogelaar and Jost said they hope Mountain Valley Bank’s donation will help kick-start other fundraising efforts by the Booster Club, including the discount card sales that just now are under way. For more information about the Booster Club or to donate, email Scott Glynn at steamboathockeyref@zirkel.us. Courtesy photo
