Kayla Schmitz, a sophomore at Colorado Mountain College, plants mountain lupine and echinacea seeds on campus during her biology class Thursday afternoon. The students were helping the beekeeping club, which plans to start hives in the spring and is planting the seeds to allow the bees to prosper in their new home.
