Steamboat Springs gymnast Eric Casey practices his routine on the rings Thursday afternoon at Excel Gymnastics. The local gymnastics center will host the Colorado Men’s State Gymnastics Championship Meet this weekend. Competition begins Friday night and will continue all day Saturday and Sunday.

Steamboat Springs gym to host gymnastics state championships
The event will attract 320 athletes along with 46 coaches, 25 teams and six judges. Excel Gymnastics will have athletes competing at levels 5, 6, 7 and 9.
