Ceaser Majia shovels the stand at Gardner Field in Steamboat Springs Monday afternoon. Crews were working hard Monday to get the field ready for the start of the spring season. Teams started practices last week, and the first game of the season will be Thursday when the Steamboat girls varsity team hosts Summit. The junior varsity at 4 p.m. followed the varsity at 6 p.m.
